DENU - We're thrilled with the Denu Blissful Hand Wash & Hand Cream we offer our restaurant patrons, it feels great to use and has a gorgeous light fragrance. It's a lovely feature having our name on the bottle, this reflects our attention to detail to ensure everyone who walks in our door has a memorable experience.

DENU - Sarah has provided us with beautiful, thoughtful gift packs for our staff Christmas presents for the past 7 years and continues to exceeds our expectations. As soon as the ladies see the words 'denu' on the pack, they know they are in for something special.

Who is denu?

TB: What inspired you to create Denu?
What did you think was missing in the market?

SF: I was searching for bath products that used essential oils blends that smelt amazing - l didn’t want to soak in a bath with synthetic scents or artificial stuff that wasn’t going to be beneficial to my body and mind.

Denu celebrates 15 years of business in September 2022 - back then - there weren’t many natural and organic products that smelt amazing, were lovely to use, effective and Australian made.
These are 4 must haves as far as l’m concerned - so l made them myself!

TB: How are Denu Products different?

SF: Denu is all about an experience - enjoying the process of making your skin and hair soft, smooth, and hydrated. Our gorgeous fragrances really help our range shine. Our products are all highly effective and make your daily rituals really come alive - for example our Shampoo and Conditioner feature mandarin and lavender essential oils - a lovely fresh scent to start your day. Plus, both are gentle on hair and scalp and add shine.

Our top selling Hand Wash and Cream with their citrus fragrance featuring Australian native Lemon Myrtle, Lime and Lemongrass is the best! Along with our highly addictive Relaxing Room Mist - this is a day spa scent and feeling in a bottle- and helps you drift off to sleep when sprayed on your pillow at bedtime, refreshes a space instantly and makes a car ride a lot more peaceful!

What achievements are you most proud of?

SF: From a business perspective, having the courage to leave a full-time job and start my own business - I didn't want to look back when I’m retired and say, ‘l could have done that really well, l wish l tried’. I’m so proud to have developed lovely relationships with clients - at markets when l started out, online, corporate and retailers (like Suzi & Jess at The Branche) many l have worked with from the start 15 years ago.

Personally, l’m most proud of my children - at 12 and 16 they are both such great company and l admire how both are making choices in their lives.

TB: Your website mentions local charity support? Who do you support and was that something you always set out to do?

SF: Supporting local charities with a % of sales is one of Denu’s core values. It’s important to me to give and help others. Over the years there have been many charities, Big Brother Big Sister for many years, local Primary school fund raisers, Scout groups, many corporate charity days, the Arts Centre’s “First Call Fund’ and recently Two Good Co support, empower and employ women with lived experience of homelessness, domestic violence and complex trauma through creating high quality food and products. I would love to work with them on a Denu product one day!
