The leaves exhibit fenestrations (deeply cuts) which increase in bright light. The Monstera can grow large with aerial roots that can be trained up a trellis or totem. To maintain a smaller shape it may also be propagated by cutting below the aerial root, or a leaf trimmed and placed in a vase.

To get the most out of your plant, apply a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly.  Wipe the leaves to remove the dust and maintain the lush leaf appearance.
